2011-2012
Congratulations to Keaton Brewer!
Keaton auditioned for the TMEA Region 7 Jazz Ensemble Saturday September 24th and did an outstanding job by earning 1st chair and now will perform with the top TMEA Region Jazz Ensemble on Bass. He advanced to Area and auditioned on October 5th for the TMEA State Jazz Ensemble. We should know the results soon.
Congratulations to the Highlander Band.
On October 8th, the band competed at the USSBA DeMoulin Marching Challenge and received a first division, won first place in their category and advanced to Finals where they received a 1st place again. The band also received caption awards for Best Music, Best Visual, Best Percussion, Best Color Guard, and Best General Effect.
On October 15th, they participated in the FWISD Pre-UIL Marching Contest and received 5 excellent ratings and 4 superior ratings from their judges.

Solo and Ensemble participant Samantha Greenleaf received a Division 2
Regional UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest
The Percussion Ensemble, consisting of Morgan Garrett, Samantha Greenleaf, Cassie Brooks, Eddie Villa, Keaton Brewer, and Derick Hall, received a Division 1.
Samantha Greenleaf reveived a Division 1 on her muilti-percussion solo.
2010 FWISD High School Honor Band
The following students earned a place in the 2009/2010 FWISD High School Honor Band: Tyler Tarkington, 4th Chair Bariton; Ellie Rios, Alternate Baritone Sax; Samantha Greenleaf, Alternate Percussion.
